Kayaking Trip

Program Description

For teen guys ages 14-17

Floating Among God's Creation
Come join us at Northern Frontier as we explore God's beautiful creation in the Adirondack Mountains. We will link lakes, ponds, and rivers together paddling, set up our campsites on some great locations, and bond as brothers as we navigate through the waterways of the Adirondacks. This trip will require you to be in average shape. You will have to portage your kayak at points on your shoulders to connect some of these lakes and ponds. You will pack dry bags, cook food, and share in the outdoor living responsibilities with your group. Two great counselors who love God, are Lifeguards, and certified in wilderness first aid will be your leaders.

You will learn the fundamentals of kayaking, how to "pack light" and how to control and maneuver your kayak in a variety of conditions. You'll enjoy cruising the larger lakes and be challenged by some shallow water, twisting, wandering rivers and portages. You will experience breathtaking wildlife and spectacular scenery. You will be encouraged in how to grow in your relationship with God by your counselors throughout the day.

The trip is limited to six campers with two trip leaders, so sign up early for an awesome adventure.
