Meet this Summer’s Program Directors!
Each summer, we bring on two administrative staff members to fill key roles. These men are charged with the task of supervising one of two divisions, Stockade and Battalion. We call their positions “Program Directors,” but that only begins to describe their responsibilities. Not only do they work through the day-to-day planning of the program and logistics, but they serve as spiritual mentors and encouragers of our counseling staff. Many have served in these roles throughout the years.
We’re excited to bring on Cole McQuaid in Stockade and Jacob Harrold in Battalion!

Meet Captain Cole!
Cole is a third-generation Northern Frontier staffer inspired to join the counseling staff after completing the CORE Training and Service Crew programs in 2015. He has served on staff each summer since that year and enjoys driving up each year from Virginia, where he is a 5th-grade teacher in a local public school.
Meet Captain Jake!
Jacob has been going to camp ever since he was born. In his early childhood, He would go to Camp Cedarbrook as a “staff kid” with his Mom. Then, once he was old enough, he spent a week each summer as a camper at NF. Participating in CORE Training (2015) and Service Crew (2016) impacted Jacob and led him to become a Counselor at NF. Now returning for his 12th year, He is excited to serve on staff this summer. Jacob grew up in Florida and lives in Chicago, where He recently graduated from the Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Pastoral Studies.

Please pray for these young men as they seek to serve Christ at Northern Frontier this summer. We ask that you pray they rely on God’s wisdom, practice patience, and seek rest in the Lord. If you’d like to partner with us in praying for this summer’s staff, please sign up for our Prayer Network.

Thank you Capt. Mike!
Finally, we’d like to recognize Mike Mayer, who faithfully served as Stockade Program Director for 20 years. Mike continues to bless Northern Frontier and will be with our staff during Pre-Camp training to help pass the torch to Cole and Jacob. Thank you, “Wild” Mike!
