Every camper at Northern Frontier spends the week learning new skills, trying new things, and discovering what he’s capable of. Whether he’s launching a rocket, paddling a canoe, or hitting the target at the archery range, every activity is designed to challenge and inspire.
Our goal is to teach skills that help boys grow in confidence, perseverance, and teamwork, all while having fun in God’s creation. Each age group experiences these activities a little differently, giving them room to grow as they mature.
Tree Climbers (Ages 6–8) get a taste of the adventure through a select program of camp favorites. Fathers and sons move together through a mix of crafts, nature exploration, and outdoor skills that give boys their first real feel for camp life.
Stockade (Ages 8–11) campers begin to develop mastery. Younger boys (Builders) start with introductory lessons in camp crafts, while older boys (Sentinels) build on those foundations with more advanced projects and challenges.
Battalion (Ages 12–16) campers take ownership of their week by choosing two activities to focus on from start to finish. This lets them dive deeper, refine their skills, and pursue the areas that capture their interest most — whether that’s archery, canoeing, air rifle, fishing, rocketry, or beyond.
No matter the program, every camper leaves Northern Frontier with new skills and a deeper sense of who God made him to be.
