If your son wants to be in a cabin with a friend, please use the Cabin Request during registration. You will be able to request up to 2 cabinmates. We encourage parents to coordinate cabin requests with the other families before filling out the form. Boys must be of similar age and grade.
Generally, siblings (other than twins) are placed in different cabins. If siblings are within 24 months in age and in the same program, we can place them together.
Each cabin has 7-8 campers, one junior counselor, and two college-age counselors. Our goal is cabin bonding with a family feel where our campers can make new friends and include others in their daily activities. Because of this, it is difficult to honor requests where four or more boys ask to be together. A request of four would leave three boys in a cabin where more than half the group already has a history together.
One of the many aspects of camp is growth through meeting new people. At the same time, we recognize that coming to camp with a friend adds a familiar and comfortable dimension. Thanks for your understanding and partnership as we minister to all our campers.
For all questions and special considerations, please get in touch with our Registrar, Kelly Studley, at kstudley@northernfrontier.org. We appreciate your cooperation in shaping a community at camp that fosters spiritual and social growth.
