Northern Frontier Camp is a place for your son to connect with others, explore the beauty of nature, and grow in his faith. To foster this experience, we strongly encourage all campers to leave their phones at home. If bringing a phone is necessary for travel, it will be collected and securely stored during the camp session. Phones will be returned at the end of camp.
Why We Collect Phones
- Positive Camp Experience: Phones can distract from relationships and activities. Collecting them helps campers focus on personal connections, spiritual growth, and the unique opportunities we offer.
- Promote Safety: Phones risk being lost or damaged at camp. Collecting them keeps them secure until the end of the session.
- Protecting Others: To maintain a positive, Christ-centered environment, we protect campers from the risk of sharing or being exposed to inappropriate content. Collecting phones helps prevent situations that could distract or harm others, ensuring all campers feel safe and respected.
How It Works
- At Check-In (Bus Stops or Camp):
- All campers are required to turn in their phones if they bring one.
- Phones will be placed in a secure bag labeled with your son’s name and stored safely for the duration of camp.
- Parental Acknowledgment:
- At check-in, you will sign a form affirming your son’s phone has been turned in.
- Or, your son does not have a phone with him.
- Returning Phones:
- Phones will be returned at the end of camp.
- For bus riders: Phones are handed back upon boarding the bus.
- For parent pick-ups: Phones are returned during check-out at camp.
