To all who knew Budd, and were touched by his life…

Our hearts are so very heavy. We are saddened by the loss of Budd here on earth, but we have Hope knowing he is with the Lord. Many of us can recall so much about Budd: Christian Service Brigade or Northern Frontier Camp adventures, youth group events, missionary trips, bear accounts, caving stories, sermons he preached, counsel and correction he gave, snake tales, Russian escapades, and all his anecdotes of a full gospel life well lived! God truly used him for the sake of His glory and honor in so many people’s lives all over the world. What a privilege we had in knowing Budd. I can only imagine what he is experiencing now being with Jesus in heaven in perfect health. I look forward to being united with our Lord and Savior, Budd, and all of the dear saints that are with him now who have left such a legacy for us!

And this I call to mind and therefore I have HOPE. Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed. His mercies never fail; they are new every morning, GREAT is His faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:21-23

As per the wishes of Budd’s family, there will not be a viewing or memorial service for Budd at this time. They do not wish to risk the spread of COVID-19 in any way to those they hold near and dear or who were meaningful to Budd. With their blessing, Northern Frontier Camp will be making plans over the next several months for an outdoor memorial service (likely in April) to celebrate Budd’s life and legacy, along with the legacy of Northern Frontier Camp.

Below you will find a link that connects to Budd’s obituary from the funeral home as well as other relevant information. In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations to Northern Frontier’s LEGACY campaign, a fund to help NF minister to future generations of boys and men, developing them into godly leaders through Christ-centered camping and wilderness activities until our Lord returns. Budd loved and served Northern Frontier for 42 years. Truly, it was his home and the legacy of Northern Frontier was his heart.
